The free listing options for LocalDirectories have improved considerably since they first launched and it is worth filling out the profile in as much detail as you can because the LocalDirectories pages seem fairly well regarded by Google and do appear in Google search results sometimes, especially for location specific service searches.

The following is an example of adding a listing via localdirectories.com.au/listing-request

Regional location and business name

Ensure business name is the same as published elsewhere

Add business address

Select categories that match your business type

You can pick up to 3 categories

Finalise the basic listing info

Add lots of text to fill the detailed profile information

Business slogan and description

Keywords and products, add as much detail as you like

Specialties and licences

Payment methods and Google streetview

Contact phone numbers and email addresses

Website homepage and other links

Link to as many of the pages of your website as you like, even linking to pdf brochures is fine.

Set suburbs you service

For a very local area business like a takeaway food store you might only pick a handful of suburbs but if you are a contractor that will go anywhere in your region then you can pick all of the suburbs if you like.

Social media profiles and trading hours

Add the social media you are actively using, trading hours can be by appointment or 24hrs or various other combinations

Submit the form, comments is not required

The example profile being added as shown above was for Ceramex, a Newcastle tiling company.

Completed profile preview

You can preview what the completed profile will look like, there are a few screenshots of this example.
